Is $550 shipping to much for a JDM front bumper?

I'm in talks with a guy on ebay who has a JDM front bumper and he told me that shipping for it will be $550, thats not including the price of the bumper. Is that to much and how did you guys pay for JDM accessories. Does anyone know where I can get a cheaper JDM parts?

well if it's a bendable bumper (urathane) they can fold it to ship as shipping big stuff from japan is calculated by volume not weight. if it's a fiberglass bumper, it won't fold and you will pay ALOT for shipping. that being said, i paid almost $800.00 for shipping and import fees (not including the cost of the bumper); my bumper didn't fold.

550 shipping + the price of that used bumper = way too expensive

As others said, I'd hit up Trigger first, when he has them they are going cheaper than that.

Thanks for the info, I knew that shipping was going to be alot, but $550 is kinda high.

Is it alot of trouble for some to bring you from overseas? I've got a friend in the army and he said he might be Japan sometime soon.

Thats roughly what UPS charges to ship a bumper 12,000 miles.

Don't want to pay that kind of shipping? Don't buy a JDM bumper overseas, find one here.
