    Dude before it gets any worse take a grinder and grind all the rust off you can then paint over it only when the rust is completely gone, If there is any specs of rust left in the paint it will continue. Dont screw around with this, its truely cancer for cars, it has to be removed asap to prevent more costly repair, such as replacement of body panals.

    ive got this same problem..... didnt notice it till i put the spoiler on.. BUT ive done a water test.. ive seen no water leak. When i took the rear bumper off the car the other day i had to beat on something so i can get it to line up better.. after a few smacks there was water coming from the bottom of the car. It was a rubber plug.. I took it out and a pretty good bit of water came out of it.. I dont know what the hell is going on..........

    My '89 6G would do the same, except water would collect down the sides of the boot (trunk to you americans :P) Turned out to be the seals around the tail lights leaking - so I pulled them out and smeared silicone sealant all around them and put them back in and problem fixed.
