Hey i have the same one you had the Dual XDVD 8181 and the thing about the unit viewing is it has to have a pulse to fool it to view the screen while driving. When you hook up the switch you have to throw it a couple of time i throw it 5 times in 4 second intervals then leave it in the on position wait 5 seconds and the screen comes on! I really like it no complaints and screen if excellent only problem is i cant get my computer to burn dvd r
