Thread: how to fix this hummm

    well i noticed the other day that the galant has a little bit of slack in the throttle cable an i just can't seem to fix it any advice.

    i was about to post about the same thing, it was fine for a while(besides the sticking) and now it has some slack this is strange :-?

    two 10mm bolts on the back of the intake plenum

    just loosen them slightly


    take the slack out of the cable W/O causing the throtle plate to move AT ALL.
    then tighten down the bolts.
    done

    takes about 20 seconds

    If the cable is loose and you fix the slack the throttle response will be better.

    The plate is just on the top/back portion of the intake manifold. If you to the throttle body and follow the throttle cable a few inches it will lead you right to this plate.

    If you dont know where the throttle body is...
    7g for life!
