I just check the Mitsubishi site and the Galant exterior has been resigned since they are releasing the G-Ralliart. What are your thoughts on the new look?

Here are my thoughts- I dont like the grille but its a nice look overall

this might be a stupid comment but i think it resembles the 8g galants...

    galant
    7g small
    8g big
    9g biger

lancer........getting bigger......almost has the same dimmention of 7/8g galants...

maybe mitsu will replace the galant market place with the lancer.....then after they do that, they'll make another car with a new name that will battle it out on the market place of the lancers....

but then thats me imagining things

You got to remember, if they want to stay in the US market, they have to make them safer, bigger and more family happy.

if your talking about the lancer evolution X then yes but for just the regular lancers, i don't see the point of it.

The Lancer photo is photoshop, I've seen the US Lancer in Motor Trend,it was somewhat disguised but from I could tell the headlight looked like one on the concept, but without the LED lights and they were not recessed. Basically they said the production car and concept were the same except for a few minor changes to front end.

As for the 9G they need to completly redo the front, I'm not saying its ugly, but it isnt pretty either

Yea i know it's been out but I didnt care to look how the 07 looks up until last week when i was looking at OEM accessories.

Wish they kept the middle piece on the grill though or even better have the Aussie 380 design. I guess if they redesign one line, others have to follow.

Oh yea I read a rumor that the next gen Galant will be smaller and that they are going to make a standard "world" design.

it makes sense that the base model be dumbed down a lot. They'd have a hard time surpasing a base model lanser that looks like the Evo 10. Not impossible and would probably bring ridiculous sales to mitsu, but a lot of work too.

As for the Galant, it makes sense that they start to look into building smaller cars, The new emphasis is on smaller and more fuel efficient. I think it's a good idea to finally just produce one world spec.

So Japan is still using the 8G? that's 10 years and running.
