Simota 2G Eclipse intake on 7G Galant V6

Hey guys, I'm looking for an off the shelf intake system for my Galant, and came across a distributor of Simota stuff here in NZ, problem is he doesn't have the intake system I want on the shelf (not surprising - we don't have Eclipses over here), and from the pics I can see of it on the internet I am not 100% sure if it will fit the 7G without too much modification.

This is the one I'm looking at - http://simotausa.com/Mitsubishieclip...akesystem.aspx - it's to suit a 2G 95-99 2L Non turbo (is that the Chrysler 420 or the 4G63 N/A??). I note it doesn't seem to have a provision for an air flow meter, which is good as my 6A12 V6 uses a map sensor and not an air flow meter. As the 2G Eclipse is based on the 7G Galant I was hoping it would be a close fit - can anyone confirm this?

    So here's the kit:

    And here's my engine bay:

    Cheers guys!

2g N/A were equipped with a 420a and the intake routing is on the drivers side.

Thanks for that! I thought the N/A 2G was 420a powered but didn't realize it was on the other side of the engine bay like 3G and 8G Galants. Hrmm.. back to the drawing board then.. any clues what intake kit to use?

    I would check for n/a 1g Eclipse/Talon/Laser with a DOHC 4G63 intakes.

    Like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-94...Q5fAccessories

Its a short ram intake..but I am sure you can fabricate a extension to make a "cold air" intake.
