I cant locate my timing adjustment pulg on my 1990 Galant GS-X. It is not the same set up as the illustration at http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html My battery is mounted up front on the passengers side of the car, not up near the firewall like the picture on this link. I know my timing is horribly off because the PO messed with the cam sensor and left one nut completely off and the other super loose so when I went to check it it was almost all the way rotated.

The car is N/A 2.0 DOHC 16 Valve.

    Thanks in advance.
If there isn't a Z or an X in the cars name I don't want it!

Im not sure man, there may not be one. I know my 98 Galant doesnt have one. An easy way to get a good guess at setting the base idle is to rotate the CAS so the front mount is even with the dip in the valve cover. Thats close to where it should be.

Hey I'll try that, but on the emission sticker under the hood it says the timing thingy has to be grounded...I need to buy a FSM but I havent got around to it yet.
