Has anyone here relocated their battery to where the VR4 has it.

I did a search but only came up with a price for a relocating kit for the trunk.

Id rather not relocate to the trunk cause I use every inch of it.

sorry previous link did not work.

    thanks

The 8G VR4 is so pretty. Quite an interesting spot for the battery. Doesn't leave much if any room for addition in the engine bay. I'd just relocate the battery to the trunk because additional wiring/mods would be hard without any space.

well, i couldnt see why you cant put it there unless you still have the stock airbox.. my cold air runs straight down after the MAF so theres a blank space where the old airbox used to be. just make a custom bracket to hold it in, extend the terminal wires and you should be good to go.

if you ant to put it there and have the stock air intake,
just get the intake system and battery box off a 2g diamante.
pretty cool, not only is your battery in a more convinient spot, but it also now concealed inside an oem battery box.

Is that the stock STB for the VR4s? If so, any idea where I could get one?
    * KYB GR-2 shocks and struts $210
    * Progress Technology lowering springs $157
    * Lowering your own car for the first time, priceless.

I think someone was selling one here. They are not cheap.

Thanks for the diamante Idea Ill look into that at a junk yard.

The intake box on mine is gone and If I do intall it there Ill figure out what to do with the intake. I guess now the question is how someone does it? Do they buy a universal battery tray or what?

unless you have a JDM 8g it won't be good for anything but a towel rack.

You can kind of see it from these pictures, but Underated used to have his battery behind the left headlight where the stock airbox was, but I think he relocated to the trunk:

Looks like it might fit without a problem.
    Thanks

I'm guessing that custom modifying it would probably compromise the whole point of having the strut bar........
