    Wutsup guys...

Basically ive been going crazy looking for the rear window spoiler...no word on the group buy, ive looked everywere, ive been told to goto my dealership...they look at me lik im crazy lol

Its come down to me actually making my own...Ive posted this because i would like to hear any of you suggestions and see what you guys think

1st OPTION: Cardboard Frame and then build around it with fiberglass
2nd OPTION: Cardboard Frame and then build around with BONDO
3rd OPTION: BUILD an exterior mold and pour a liquid that will harden to the shape of the spoiler.
4th OPTION: Pray to god I find one lol

the upside with this is that i am able to design it myself and give it some nice touches..

basically im just looking for open opinions on what you guys think i should do and or have any tips...

AS of right now im in the mist of researching on the best way but will have some step by step pictures up as soon as i start building which should be in a week or so.

    thanks guys...

I can imagine how those people in the Mitsu dealer looked at you, dont do those crazy and hard things just ask from those members who purchased more than one to sell you their extra's.

    I would :

-carve a styrofoam to the shape that you want it. This will take some time, so be patient.

    - cover the finished styrofoam "mold" COMPLETLY and NEATLY with masking tape and lay 4-5 layers of fiberglass cloth over it. (if you dont cover the foam with masking tape it will quickly melt as the resin starts to kick).

    - after it stiffens up pop out the styrofoam and finish off the fiberglass peice with some bondo, primer, paint.

Sounds easier than it is, but best of luck! If you've never worked with F/G before this would be a good starter project.

thanks n good luck with the visor, it will work wit fiberglass just as long as u use a piece of cardboard or styrofoam and alsso do alot of sanding lol

  17. #17
yea deff goin for a cardboard base...

    another idea jus came up...
my boy has a 03 honda accord an he jus bought a rear visor...i measured his back window and its only off my an inch...so wen he gets it were guna put it on my car really quick an see how much of a difference their really is...

if its really minor i might just buy that primed and cut and sand it down to fit the 9g but well see... i got a crapload of work to do so im guna hold off on this project for a couple of weeks but thanks guys for the input!
