has any one here the the evo head swap. i've seen people who say the did the evo swap. i wasn't suer if the ment head swap or just swaped out the entire engines? which do you guys think is the better option. tuboing the 4g64 or swapping in an evo 4g63?

i've heard that the 4g64 is the same block as the evo (except the 4g64 is stroked) and the evo head will bolt up as well the evo turbo set up with all the performance mods. this would make a 2.4l evo engine which would make more power. so has is an evo engine swap worht it.

just read through that and would we get more power from the Kia Optima head or the Evo head?

i would think u would get more power out of a evo 8 head cause its turbo and the evo guys are useing the 4g64 block instead of the 4g63

The EVO head has stronger internals. Therefore you will get more power from the EVO head.

ANd when it comes to how much youll spend between an Evo swap and Evo head swap. IMO You will benefit more from the head swap with the money you'll use for the Engine swap.

do some more searching on club3g. you cant learn anything if you dont do it yourself. there is more than 1 person who's preformed the headswap on there.
