Ok so I figure some of you would be interested in seeing how the galant stacks up in autox so I figured I'd post the results for my races and you can see how good I did or how badly I screwed up. If anyone wants to They can join in and post track results too. I also figure that I should semi clairify the classing as well. The main classes are; stock, street prepared, street touring, prepared, and modified. Stock is as said the only allowed mods are airfilter inserts and non adjustable swaybars or the removal of the rear swaybar. Also you can use any oem fit pad and any stock sized wheel. Prepared is basically the next level above stock. Its divided by whether or not the car is street legal. Touring is a modification to the prepared rules in which it allows mild bodykits that dont improve much in the way of performance. Before touring anyone with a bodykit was thrown way over thier heads in street mod as prepared does not allow modified body panels. Modified is again divided by the street legality of the vehicle and is the highest level of modification. It also allows small formula (open wheeled) style cars, as well as go karts. Those on non-streetable competition tires are placed in the appropriate category while those on anything from performance street tires to crappy worn out all seasons.
There are also two locations that I race at, Arrowhead stadium and the Woodlands. I generally do better at the woodlands when you compare my times to the rest of the field. But anyway these are the three sets of times so far.

Autocross is fun, no matter if you have a stock car or fully modified car. The enviroment, people, and autocross itself is a blast!

Fun stuff, I competed in STS a few years ago, but I killed tires like mad!

So far the Suspension Techniques sway bar makes the car feel so neutral through the corners, its freaking amazing, it will just give a slight drift when you let off the throttle. As for brakes, I have powerslot rotors with ceramic pads, with this set up I really dont need much more brake, seriously. I also have Energy Suspensions engine mounts, they give a little more response, but its hard to tell with the slushbox.
I know I need more suspension work and if anyone has a set of coilovers they would like to sell me I might be interested, I need coilovers because as you can see from the pics, tire clearence is a problem. I want to keep the car at a height at which I am not limited in tire size by the fenders because then I can go as wide as I want. I need some heafty spring rates, like in the 400-500 lbs range, and the only drop springs I've seen specs posted for are like 250 lbs. If you havent already figured it out ride comfort means nothing to me.
I'm saving up for a 5spd swap so that in itself should give me some decent reductions in time. I'm working with a college budget so progress might be a little slow. This car will get interesting though, trust me.
