Which one? Alpine or Pioneer? Alpine cda-9857r x Pioneer DEH-P75BT.

I'd say go with the Alpine. You'll get more power where you need it. Although the Pioneer does look kinda good, it's mainly just show. You get less power than the Alpine, and have the chance of that motorized face plate to quit on you after a year. The plus side with the Pioneer is it coming with the iPod interface. Depends if you want more of the bells and whistles, or better sound quality.

I have a Pioneer with the Ipod adapter. It is the shit, I have the 860 Premier and the Adapter along with the 8GB Nano. The head unit controls the Ipod and I am at the point of throwing out my CD's and just running the Ipod. I would recommend it if you can afford it, the adapter is availible at Walmart/Circuit City for only $45.00 and it took 10 minutes to install in the Circuity City parking lot. As opposed to the $70.00 they tried to charge me.





The head unit is an older one but was one of the first ones that could control the IPOD with the adapter.

honestly...i'm an alpine person...BUT...

i've heard there was ALOT of problems with the newest line of alpine decks that came out. if you have an ipod...it would be best to get one with the hookup for quality sound, and so you won't need a staticy fm transmitter.
