I didnt know if you knew this but mitsu and chrysler have the same troubles with building auto's, the manuals are solid, but the auto's suck.

Our engines never really seem to wear out, I however can break an automatic by sneezing.

About 50k the shift plate finished cracking and sent fragmets throught the tranny pump. the tranny failed at 50mph traveling down surface street, the engine stalled and I pulled it into a parking lot at about 45mph semi sideways with no power steering or vacuum assist brakes. Man my sisters where screaming.
I still have my original transmission. It has over 100K miles on it and I had it flushed once. Never had any problems with it.

Had my 01 gtz rebuilt @ 53000 in april when I lost all my gears right in front of my job.
Had to have rebuilt again this month when it leaked all the fluid 16000 miles later on the way to school.
Thank god for waranties. wasnt surprized that it crapped out on me given the amount i drive and how I drive.
Always wanted it in a manual to begin with.

Do you know exactly what happened to it. Mine fragged the shift plate and sent shards into the tranny pump thus burning it up.

Yea it was the pump the first time. The second time was the shops fault for not changing the gaskets.
