I have a 2001 galant original trans. with 170,000 miles I kept it clean with fluid changes. Still shifts fine. Little long of a shift when putting the pedal to the floor and getting on the freeway but no slamming into gears. I figure I will get about another 70,000 to 80,000 miles out of the trans.

115K on original tranny, been through 3 track days, god knows how man autocross events, and two rallicross events. Been running royal purple in it since about 80K miles when I got the car, used OEM mitsu fluid that hadn't been changed once since 1999 before that

I have about 174xxx on my 99 ES, stock trans never had any issues with previous owner and was always serviced by the dealer...not that it says much, but we will see how much longer it holds up. My boss looked at the car Friday night and told me if it fails he wants to tear it apart and rebuild it to hold more and do some VB modifications with one of our TCs...

'01 ES 132k miles, as far as i know it has the original tranny. did scare the shit out of me though when i first started driving. accidentally shifted into neutral and there was a truck coming up behind me (going uphill) and i shifted into drive around 6000rpm. check engine light stayed on for a week.
