Knock Sensor, will this work

I was doing some part searches and came across this.

Now my question is would this work? If so it would be cheaper and probably easier than finding a 2G Turbo ECU. Thoughts?

It could monitor knock but it couldnt do anything with it like change the timing or anything.

not to mention that there was NEVER a knock sensor on any sohc 96 galant. or any sohc 94-98 galant.

nor is there a hole for the knock sensor to thread into.
you woudl have to drill and tap your block.

I have a hole for it, just was missing the sensor. I just put it in and still need to wire it up.
