You will need to change the proportioning valve (which on my JDM 7G is attached below the master cylinder on the brake booster), but yours being LHD and USDM I'm not sure where they would have put it.

I did a drum to disc conversion on my old 6G and I found the rears wouldn't brake very well once it had discs - changed the whole master cylinder and proportioning valve and everything was sweet.

thats exactly what i was thinking...im going to do the install this weekend and depending how the car feels whens stoping, i might just go and buy a master cylinder from the V6...i can get one for $55 leaving the old core...so its not that much...as for the proportioning valve i gotta see if its under the MC...but i think its a dealer item...not sure yet..

hey guys i was about to start on the rear disk conversion...but ran into a problem...dont know its important or not...i noticed the drum assembly or the backing plate does not have this hole on it...and the disk backing plate does...what goes there...and is it needed???or i just leave it open...

That's for ABS. You can just leave it or plug it up.

the majority of your stopping power comes form the front brakes. Unless you plan on doing some high speed short range stopping, or auto crossing, i don't think you'll really need to worry about changing the master cyl.

Good luck with the rear disc swap, should be fairly easy. The car looks great! made me wanna go out and get an 8g for a minute..... but just a minute.

Rear disk conversion done...it took only 2 hours to do...damm drum didnt wanna come off...and then i got lost putting the e-brake shoes back together...damm springs...anyways the car stops much better now...
