well in all serious...i dont know of any bolt on sc kits but the 2g eclipse kits are compatable with the 7g galant you can also piece together your own kit for a lot cheaper as well, as far as the 5 speed with either ap[plication it will be better as you will have an extra gear and be able to control your boost etc better

also if you want to know more there are plenty of threads here that contain lots of info on these subjects...try using the search

Most likely any supercharger you would put on a 7g is a centrafugal, and in my opinion they are worthless, boost dictated entirely by rpms, no thanks. Its turbo, roots type, or N/A for me.

Peano, just wait, electric superchargers will become a reality, the problem with those is that their compressors arent efficient and they use cheap DC motors which dont spin many rpms.

There is only one electronic supercharger thats worth anything, and its made by Thomas Knight:

Just sucks, you have to use it in bursts.

He's still using DC motors which are about 1/3 as efficient as an AC motor, which is what I plan to use. I also plan on using rpms which takes volts, as opposed to torque which takes amps.

WOW, thats alot and you only get the blower. I agree that a AC motor is a better option, but how are you going to power it. Even if you use a inverter, it still want be as efficient becuase no inverter can completely remove the DC signal once it has been changed to AC. Or you can use AC capacitors, but they can get expensive when you into the high farads.

For an AC motor you have to have a speed control, think RC cars. I'm working with a local company to make a speed control that will allow the boost level to be altered. It will also make the blower spin at a constant rpm instead of varying with the voltage being put out by the altenator.
