    Hi all,

I have a HH SOHC Galant, manual.

I have a problem, when I start it seems to be missing but will drive ok at first ( just drives like a pig) but after a while usually above 3000 rpm will die even with full throttle if i baby it will drive but has near no power any ideas at all

    Any help appreciated.

Wow..never seen that before  Well its safe to see that its ignition related...you are probably not getting a solid spark to the plugs results why the car dies at 3000 grand and above.

Is there any play in the distributor shaft where the rotor is suppose to connect to? If thats the problem...just buy a new distributor, its safe to say thats your problem. Looks like its moving resulting to the rotor rubbing againsts the top part of the cap.
