Guage Pod for the 8G $400

OK, I decided to move this to a new thread because some people might actually not see this. Now this is what a gauge pod is supposed to look like.

The price as I just found out is $400 a pillar. That’s the price with your original pillar. The turnaround time for this is 14 days. But that price will change depending on the amount of people order and if a cast can be made. All Mitsubishi moldings are made of a certain type of plastic that extremely difficult to mold to. The glue used for this job is $80 a tube and then you have bodywork on top of that. I'm putting this up to see if there is any interest in getting these things produced. Who ever Is interested please send me a PM and we will take it from there.

Fer real man... I can get a CF hood for 400 bucks. That seems a lil steep for a gauge pod.

i doubt the guages are included since they run about 500$+, 400 is not much for something like this, if i didnt have my guages in my radio brezel, id jump all over this..

No Guages included. If you can get someone to make this for you for cheaper and look this good then get it. Anything custom and not made in mexico or china will cost you money.

Looks very nice, but very expensive. They cant just make a mold of yours and make them from the mold? Would take far less time and less work that way? Maybe not, just a thought.

That does look nice, but $400 is crazy. Try www.gaugepods.com

They will custom make gauge pods in a group buy kind of deal. I did this with my 97 Eclipse Spyder and now they carry them on their site. Quality is great, they will color match to factory interior colors, turn around time is a little longer but the price is about 1/10th of the one posted here.

We tried this already 2 years ago, and there wasn't enough people to get them to make one for the 8g

See the Group Buy section for details from Gaugepods.com.

Sorry Roman didn't mean to hijack your post. Didn't realize you were putting these up for sale. Since you're selling these, I suggest you move it to the For Sale forum.

I think $400 is ridiculous, especially when you can have custom fiberglass pillars made for much, much less.

Just out of curiosity, what glue are you using that is $80 per tube?
