    Locked out

I locked my keys in my car and my girl is in europe with my spare set. Just wonderin how hard it is to break into a galant. Without smashin a window, for all the smart asses. Or should I just call a tow company and have them charge me 40 bucks to unlock it?

Call 1-800-popalock. They specialize in unlocking cars, as oppossed to Bubba from the towing company. You have to be careful on our cars with a slim jim. The spring will pop off the lock mechanism real easily if it's not done right.

you also might want to try the dealer. they might make u a key or something. it shouldn't be expensive since i don't think u'd need a chip to open the door, just give u one of them chipless keys.

also, when u break the window, don't try to be cheap and break a small one, break the big main windows that rolls down. i heard those are cheaper

i would assume the cheapest route will be to go to a mitsu dealer and have them cut you a valet key or maybe call the emergency roadside assistance number. dont you have a valet key at home?

i was thinking valet key but then that would need a chip. i don't think u needa chip to open the door. maybe like a regular key like what the 99's have should be sufficent to get into the car since his keys are in there...

You can break into any car using a flat head screw driver in the key hole.

Hey guys im from Newark, NJ #2 in the country (used to be #1) in most carjacks.. I think i should be an expert on this... what I would do is use a hanger and stick it underneath the water guard from the window.... nah im only kidding.. i think you should definately go to a dealership or better yet if you have AAA (triple A) they should do it for you for free...

the valet key will open doors and start the engine. the only thing it doesn't do is open your glove box or your trunk. we used it 2 weeks ago when we went to the casino. when we came out the attendant asked why didn't the key work in the glove box. when i asked him why the hell did he need to get in my glovebox the bastard didn't have an answer. my wife reported his dumbass to security and disciplinary action was taken. yeah the valet key will work.

no need for a chip to open the door. I am assuming he has a valet key at home. I used to carry a valet key in my wallet.

All you need is a wedge and a rigid wire with a hooked end. My girl locked the keys in the car and we called AAA. The dude came out, took this small wedge and shoved it between the door frame and the car frame halfway between the bottom of the window and the top. It made a nice gap for him to easily put the wire through and hook open the lock. Had me in the car in under 10 seconds

Hey Man I have to break into Cars atleast twice a week for people that lock them selfes out of the car. and I would really recommend you either go to the dealer or call pop-a-lock, only because of the way our locking system is. It's ont of the harder systems to break into as opposed to some Dodges, Nissans, and even Fords. It takes more than a coat hanger to get inside one of the Galants.
