    Engine infomation

    Hey

    Has anyone heard/done a 4g63 DOHC with a Carb

My 7g has a 4g93 carby (gutless) and want to upgrade, but don't want the hassle of rewireing the car for new fuel pumps and computers

    cheers

Ok please correct me if i'm wrong, you're saying that you have a 7g with a 4g64 SOHC that's carbureted and you want to do the DOHC swap but retain the use of your carburetor?

I just reread your post, 4g93 not 4g64. hmm, I don't know if we can be of much help unless you give us a little bit more information. Also i'm just guessing here but where are you from, Australia?

Oh god you americans are just so oblivious to overseas models. NEWS FLASH Galants were made in Japan long before the US!

It's most likely a base model E52A GE or GF which has the 4G93 SOHC 16V engine with an electro-feedback carburettor.

    Here's a link to the specs :- http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/mi.../1992_5/16207/

I can't seem to find any pics on Google but it looks just like your normal SOHC 4G93 except it has a carburettor instead of EFI.

well right now this is the best i can find. It's the same engine just dual over head cam.

The first picture you posted is of a Honda motor haha.

The 4g93 was in the 4g Mirages in the states, but it wasnt a carb. Pretty sure some overseas Lancer GSRs have a DOHC 4g93, or maybe the pictures I saw was a swap.
    US 4g93 4g Mirage:

Pretty sure theres two versions of the 4g93, just one is horizontal opposed compared to the other. 4g Mirage vs 5g Mirage here in the states.
    7g for life!
