    1g intake vs 2g intake manifold

    My friend has a 2g 4g63 in his car and want to changed the intake manifold to a 1g intake intake manifold,would it fit?

    It would fit but flow would be hurt because of the larger intake ports on a 1g. The 2g has smaller ports so when putting on the 1g mani on the 2g head it would have a wall that it will hit. It would actually hurt flow but if you port match 2g heads intake runners you'll be golden.

    1g manifold does flow more, but like Sleeper said, the 2g ports are smaller then the 1g so you wouldnt see a gain unless he did a 1g headswap or ported the 2g head.
