same engine as the next evo right? so when evo x peeps upgrade, the regular lancers will take it. Si?

Sorta. It shares a lot of parts with the Evo engine. But the sticking point is that it's a high compression NA motor.

Slow... are youn kidding that new hot babe does 0 to 60 in 7.7sec.
The new lancer beats anyone in its class! and we are not even talking about the handling and suspensions yet!

but i did expect GTS to be more powerful, maybe they should have used the same engine as the new outlander. GTS suppose to be ralliart right?

Nahh they all have the same engine... The new Outlander is a V6... The GTS just has more options.. They have the same suspension set up as the new Evo X... That should tell you something about the handling...

They should have made it a removable HDD.. But they didn't.. Something to write Mitsu about... It's a neat feature though.. It also plays MP3 format CD's too..

That's cause we own 46... not own as in business own, but own as in ownage... We're the best selling Mitsu dealer in the Tri-State biatch! We have the most inventory and we sell the most cars..

Sounds like they will be making a special cable or something available exclusivly through the dealership. Talk about a marketing ploy Still a sweet car,though...

Yeah that special cable.. They tried that with the 4G Eclipse.. and they didn't sell many of them... IDK why they didn't learn their lesson... Although the GTS with the navigation package has the aux. in the front...

On the new Lancer (just had a class on it) you better make sure to change your oil on time or it will knock on ya big time. And the auto tranny, anything other than the "green" tranny fuild you will get oh 15 miles down the road and then get ready to get a whole new assembly (if one part goes out in it, you gotta buy a whole new tranny)you can only use head bolts ONCE and the motor is all aluminum plus it has a timing chain not a belt. Just FYI. But damn, we are selling the crap outta the new Lancers and the body style is hoooooooootttttttttttttt :D. We got 2 trucks full of them last week.

Head bolts in any motor can only be used once ;)
    7g for life!

It is "relatively" slow...as in versus the last top end lancer (the ralliart, not the EVO) The RA's were rated for low 15's i nthe 1/4, the GTS is 16's...

And it doesn't beat everything in it's class...at least not according to a Car and Driver article I just read like last week.
    http://www.caranddriver.com/features...han-20000.html
Most of the 10 cars are from it's class, and the only one it "beat" is the Imprezza 2.5i

Don't get me wrong, it's still a quick car, but in terms of what it replaced, it is step down...at least in terms of performance.
