How to remove license plate light?

I want to switch my license plate light to LEDs but I have a hard time removing the light. Is it a twist and lock mechanism or what?

Also any suggestions on what kind of lights I should get that are bright and white.

    Thanks

cool thanks for the replies, now I'm gonna get some LEDs!

Do you mean the bulb or the plastic case that it's in?
I was out there for 15 minutes and I couldn't get to the bulb.
    My fingers hurt.

you open the trunk and reach inside the opening and you just twist the piece out that holds the bulb, swap bulbs twist and lock back in and voila.
or you can do what I did the 1st time when I didn't know any better. Just unscrew the plastic that covers the bulb and swap bulbs and replace the plastic

I unscrewed the bolt on the outside, but I couldn't get the plastic off.
It's at night, so I couldn't see what I was doing, but it turns out that I was trying to reach through that tiny hole on the inside for the longest time until I realised that all I had to do was reach around.
I installed the PIAA 194 Xtreme White Interior Replacement Bulb and there's hardly any difference at all.
It doesn't light up the ground or anything.
    What a waste of $12.95

They are exactly like the Lexus lights in Ultra White... check em out

You may purchase them at http://www.superlumination.com and the best part about it is that it connects directly to the 194 bulb socket.
But does that fit in the clear plastic housing where the license plate bulb goes? or did u need to do modifications?

I bought the lights I had linked in the earlier post. When I have them installed, I'll have pictures.
