    my G-ride

here's my 4 banger 8g. It ain't much but for a car that lived in a perpetual hail of corrosive sea air for the last 7 years and 88 thousand miles it's in pretty good shape :)

in this shot you can't even tell I got rear ended by a drunk driver last year. there was some pretty extensive body and frame damage but Albertson auto body on long island fixed that up in a jiffy. Price tag for the work was about $4,400 and a lifetime of backaches. Don't drink and drive people.

The front end is all original except for some touch-up paint i've applied on several occasions. The roads in suffolk county have a tendency to part with large chunks of themselves that hurtle into your front facade at disturbing velocities. It's like being constantly sandblasted, except instead of sand it's lumps of asphalt the size of a fist. you can see the aftermath of one of those just to the left of the driver's side fog light.

I recently installed this Kenwood KDC-MP202 Head unit. Even without installing new speakers the sound quality is a huge improvement over the stock (non infinity) system. it also plays mp3 cds which is awesome. I've got one disc with 102 songs on it that I didn't have to change for a month. Cd-r compatibility is good so long as you don't use khypermedia (but those don't work in anything else, either.) I've had perfect playback with TDK 52x CD-Rs.

I also have a set of Pioneer TS-A1781R front speakers and TS-A6972R Rears that I plan on installing soon now that the weather is warmer.

    yes, lots of money.

and on that note, I need headers. cheap ones. my stock exhaust manifold is leaking like hell. any leads? I'd perfer not to get a replacement OEM manifold.

    thanks for the lead serstyls2.

I was wondering, does anyone know how these headers compare to say DC Sports and RPW headers? the vast difference in price is kinda worrying. I can't imagine the OBX headers will be worse than the OEM crush bent crappy manifold but I'm concerned that they might not be as sturdy or as efficient.
