    Stage 3 Dyno Sheet

I just got the Galant dyno'd on a Mustang Dyno. Last time I went, I was putting down ~230 WHP once I corrected for altitude and temperature. Here is the corrected HP/torque curve for this time (keep in mind that this is corrected for 4500 feet and 88 degrees - the car actually put down 301 HP).

Build that thing to rev higher man, your graph isnt dropping off at all, you'd definatly see gains from building it to rev to 7-7500 rpms or higher. That should give you another 100 hp potential.

How much money have you sunk into that car so far, to make that much hp? :?

I'd really like to build the heads to flow better and rev higher. I'm curious to know if a bottom end with forged pistons is good for 7500.

The first thing I need to do is get the correct amount of boost out of this setup. The pulleys I have can push the Vortech blower up to 25 PSI, which is almost another 9 PSI and about 75 HP.

Like said above I think you should build it to rev higher. Your graph doesn't drop off at all.

Oh yeah, RPW says they run 8500 on a 6G74 with only forged pistons and headwork. This is boosted to the tune of 20 ish lbs. The 6G72 rod ratio makes it alot more revable but your stock cames and valvesprings wont take it. If this gives you an idea the rod ratio of a 20,000 rpm capable F1 engine is 2.2 ours is 1.8. Just make sure your rods can take the boost your running. If you dont have a bov to manage pressure I'd suggest doing that to make higher revs safer. I'd dial back the boost to start with. Ask questions on club3g.org I have a good sized N/A discussion on revability N/A, which is the route I'm taking, but they should be able to answer your questions as well.

Well, I got back from the track early this morning. I ran a 14.3 @ 100 mph at 4500' elevation and 75 degrees. Probably about a 13.5 at sea level. Not too bad for an automatic. The next thing I want to try is the RIPP tensioner that should bring me up to at least 20 PSI. In addition, I'm going to piece together an MSD ignition system so I can run 20 PSI without spark blowout.

Not with an LSD you wont

There were 2 11 second V6 SDS 3g's both running 18" rims and drag radials with 5 speeds and LSD's cutting 1.8 60ft times. Figure street tires you may cut a 2.1 60ft time, either way its a high 11sec low 12 sec pass. On top of that the car would be really really fun to drive 5 speed.
