got some baseline dyno numbers(and vid) for you V6 guys...

My boss wasn't working today, so I had to come in and dyno like 6 cars. So, after they all left, I dynoed mine. No pics of the numbers but here they are:

    Run #1
    141.87hp 148.21tq

    Run #2
    146.04hp 149.02tq

    Run #3
    144.72hp 150.80tq

    Run #4(video below)
    148.38hp 154.55tq

I have 3" exhaust, short ram intake, new plugs and wires. thats it perf. wise. But here is the video of the last run:

Cool, I guess its good to have a base run so you know how other mods will affect your car...

i put my car on the dyno a few weeks ago (just for shits and giggles, it was free), and put down an average of 148/150 over 3 runs.

im completely stock except for an injen sri.

If you post stupid and incorrect information, you will get red nuggets.

Very interesting... I guess I am making the right amount of power @ 15-16 PSI. In theory, my output should be at least twice that of the stock engine, which is about right. Thanks for providing the baseline numbers!

so 148 for a v6, listed at 195 at the crank listed... 145 listed for a i4, that means we are putting down around 98 or so?

I would hope it would be more than 98HP, thats weaker than a Handa CRX...1.6L!!!!!!!

The i4 will have less power loss in the drive train so look for like 110ish

The 5spds seem to put down 170-180ish so that further reinforces my stand that autos suck balls. As soon as I get my manual in, here within the next 2 weeks, I'll be taking it to a shop to get it dyno tuned with ECUFlash, I'll post up my graphs then.

My I4 put down 115 on the dyno with auto trans, so yeha it's less. I wonder how much more it would squeez out with 5-speed

Yeah, this automatic is a pile of crap. That stupid thing is what's keeping me out of the 12's even though I have a "race" torque converter.
