    Overhaul on coilovers.

Does anyone know how The Tein SS-P coilovers are overhauled. I've only had mine for not even a year but just wondering what happens when the coilover goes bad. do I have to replace the whole thing?

I'd rather have the knowledge and ability to do it than the money to buy it already done.

Well if they are 'bad' than they can be disassembled and the strut/shock itself should be replaced. I would think Tein would warranty any defects within that short a time frame.

What makes you think its bad?

You send it back to TEIN, they determine cause of failure, they tell you if its under warranty or not, if its not, they give you a price to rebuild it. They rebuild them in house. All they do is replace the internal valve and seals. Unless of course something is bent from an accident, then they will charge you to replace the whole thing.
