nice.. good luck modding.. knowing mitsus the intake mani would probably crack due to the intense amount of air 2 intakes would bring in

here is a short ram intake by RRM

i dont know they want 159.00 for it, its basically a fiter and adapter for the MAS, i think i will wait for the real CAI to come out, plus in the short ram having the oem Rubber TUbe with the spirals, slows down air flow!!! so what the point for now:

here is what RRM says about it

    2008+ Lancer

We tested numerous designs to get the most power. This is the same intake that won it class in GymkhanaUSA event. This intake fit both Manual transmission and automatic transmissions. Expect to drop a full second in 0 - 60 mph times with this intake as the MIVEC kicks in and this engine gulps in air! This kit includes all parts needed to install the intake without damaging stock components. CNC machined MAS sensor holder and adapter bolts right up and the kit includes the largest filter we could fit in front of the battery! Powder coated red only!

and here are some other parts available for the galant/lancer as of now:

    179.00

    199.00

    89.00

    169.00 for the set:

    129.00

    99.00 for set

    329.00 for full exhaust

    camber kit 99.00

    that exhaust could be hot...
    intake looks bunk
    no point whatsoever....
might as well just do a flip top box mod or what not.

that lower brace looks pretty hot though....
i'd pick that up for sure.

    brakes.... why?
    go evo or go home.

    motor mounts... again.. why?
i'd wait for prothane to make some. filling mounts is bogus.

john i totally agree with you, i am definatly waiting for a real CAI to come out...as for the exhaust i really do wanna pic that up, but what about the warranty, will this void my car warranty??? do i have to go through mitsu to get this installed?

i will also look for those evo brakes when the car come out. and the lower brace is hot too. i will for sure pick that up...it suck that you arent coming to MB john i want you to drive the lancer and take it around some corners, today i took the car on one of those exits, i was going around 60MPH the car just stuck to the road, that was my test..also i will do some 0-60 runs soon after i break the motor in.. the manual says 200 mile break in period...

yea that intake looks like it'll just suck hot air.

You'd be better to shift the battery to where the filter is sitting and custom up a box with ducting where that scoop is.

Sorry but whats the difference between an 'o8 Lancer and a "Galant Fortis". To be honest I never really heard of a "Galant Fortis" till now =T

Secondly, When I went to the site to "build my own car" I noticed there was a "Sporttronic" option for the 'o8 Lancer. Exactly what is that? I heard of Tiptronic and never knew what exactly that was either...
All I know is that there is the paddles and then there is the uh.. actual shift [where you bring the gear-stick up to gear up and down to gear down, or left and right for some other cars]. So which does the new 'o8 Lancer use?

edit: When I looked closer at the steering wheel I noticed that there were paddles. I'm not a fan of paddles, does the 'o8 Lancer come with the one where you use the gear to shift? [I still don't know the proper name of what it's called, but it's the same thing in cars like the Acura TL]

Sporttronic is the Mistu version of Tiptronic which is essentially an automatic transmission that the driver can tell when to shift if he/she wants.

There is no major difference that I know of between the '08 Lancer and the Galant Fortis other than the badge that says Galant Fortis. It's the Japanese Lancer (not EVOs). They just changed the name. The REAL Galant was discontinued in the Japanese market due to low sales.
