First, have you done the 5 spd swap yet, if not I would strongly reccommend doing that first. After you see how it drives in manual than you would get a better idea of what your car really needs. I would also like to say that thier is really no easy, or cheap way to get HP on the G, besides doing NOS. But after doing the 5 spd swap, I would reccommend going turbo. After doing turbo, and burning several hondas, you might realize that you wont need NOS.

Now, if you decide to do some "organized" street racing, which I really dont support, you would need more than just a turbo, NOS, and a 5spd, you would need to do a complete engine upgrade, i.e. headers, Cam shafts, vavles, springs etc. the list goes on from there.

Each power upgrade has their positives, and negative. NOS is a little cheaper, and it might be easier to install, but if you dont do it perfect it will ruin your car, and the power gain isnt permanent. Turbo is a permanent power increase, doesnt have the wear on your engine NOS has (depending on how much you use the NOS), the only problem is that its a little more money, and a little more time consuming. But I think if your going to do something, do it right. There are several people always selling stuff for the 5 spd swap, and its not that hard to find tutorial for the turbo upgrades. I think go 5spd, and turbo.

i wouldnt dude, NOS wears out ur engine pretty bad especially one with alot of miles. i myself am against nitrous, i think its kinda like cheating, its horsepower in a bottle that you dont have to work for bassically. but thats just my opinion. try a turbo. a few lb of boost wouldnt harm anything and you would see a significant power gain.

HAHAHA I was trying to say that in a nice way but ya, in my opinion NOS is for hondas... :D

Well, you can swap in a 6G72 to replace your 4G64. You can slap some Evo 4G63 heads on your 4G64. You can swap in an Evo 4G63. Another option is to swap in a 6G74 (3.5L). I believe any V6 swap would involve subframe replacement or modification.

You can buy all the parts and they can be had fairly easy. Straight forward, kinda, its no B18 VTEC headswap onto a B20, but its not impossible. If you go to www.club3g.com do a search, there is a tutorial on how to do it.

NITROUS wouldnt be recommended for an engine that is that worn. I say go 5-spd and boost, or build it up into an all-motor powerhouse. but I doubt it'll take your 3000lb. 8G anywhere past 12's.

the v6 swap into an I4 is probably going to ba a waste of time.... if you want a V6, trade in your I4 for one. also as Ive understood the 4G64/4G63T hybrid motor is pretty straight forward, but stewi is speaking truth, it no b18 head on b20 swap.

Id rather do the 4G63 on the 4G64.. 8)

    I ran a 15.8 with a AEM CAI and 2.5" axle-back.

I also removed the passenger seat, back seats and everything in the trunk (spare wheel, tools, carpet..). I also took the left foglight off for more air into the filter.. it was 60 degrees out that day...

You probably wont gain more than 15-20 horsepower just doing the headswap. Your only going to see serious power gains by doing the swap and boosting it at the same time. By doing the swap, you allow the motor to flow more air, which is good, but you need something to feed it that additional air. If you need more info on the swap, go to www.club3g.com there are 3 or 4 people who did it over there.
