    My new addition (PICS)

I had a 1 farad cap for awhile just on the subs, which worked fine until I put in a 4 channel. After dealing with dim interiors and dimming fogs and guages, I decided to go with this route. Now my interiors seem brighter, fogs/guages don't dim, and somehow my bass response seems a little more accurate (but that's probably due to new dual twisted RCA's).

I get that question a lot. I like the type S, mainly b/c they're clean, loud, but not overkill for our cars. Type R's are definitely good. I've thought about switching over to them now and again, but that's too much bass (at least in our cars IMO). The type S give me a hard hitting bass, while staying clean and clear so I still enjoy my music. They're also a hell of a lot better than Type E's lol.

lol my dad has 2 type r 12"s powered by a rockford bd 1000 and 4 6.5" type X components and 2 5 (and some change)" typr x components powered by an alpine V12 300 watt 4ch amp and 2 type R 6X9 powered by an alpine v-power 100 watt amp.. with this setup... the highs and bass sound Amazing.. the highs are amazingly good and the bass hits hard .. You cant stay in the car with the volume 3/4 of the way up

cool setup, I think it's good to have "just enough" bass, shaking off the trunk is pointless

LOVE the mounting that you did! I have the Type R's... who did the mounting and the custom woodwork?

I did. Made the box, the walls, and the floor board too. Theres also another amp rack behind the subs for my 2 channel. Needed to re-enforce the back seat panel for that one, b/c the amp is too heavy and kept sagging.
