if you are lowered on these tires, and have tein s/techs with a camber kit.
you will need to roll your fenders.
    i like the look though

225/45r18 is too tall for the 8G. tire diameter is 26". to stay close to factory you wanna b as close to 25" as paossible. 26" is 4.4% too slow.

it is only temporary. i needed new tires badly and i cant yet afford the tires i usually get. so i just got these used bridgestone pozenza re040's for $70

if it's only in the rear though, would that matter?

I like how it looks lonestar...I love the handling of 18's but this makes me wonder what downgrading to 17's with a lil beefier tire would be like too. Or maybe I'll just consider some 45's all around as is.

well to your first question its still more rolling mass, so im sure it would make a difference.

but yeah i like the look and feel of it a lot. i might do it all the way around also, just need to roll my fenders a bit more and maybe add some camber

Is the rear only the problem? I have dropped the front but not the rear.. will this work for me ya think ? there's about 2" gap in the front still.. 2.1" gap in the rear.. I am not really scared about rolling.. since I can always roll the fenders.. but however if I do hit a pothole or a speedbump, it might rub something?

if the fenders are bent back, theres nothing else that the wheel can hit. at least from my experience. if your car isnt aligned to exact specifications u may rub when u are fully turned in either direction
