    turbo conversion

    does anyone know if it is possible to bolt on a turbo to 1988 2.0i twin cam and what is involved (i.e strengthen bottom end)?

    try checking out the turbo and nos section. they might know.

    sure, it's possible. but why? the motor is only part of the puzzle. trans, axles, and brakes. and, most important, tuning. a n/a car is going to run a lot more timing than a turbo car, plus, forced induction cars run much richer at or near wot, the extra fuel is need for additional cooling. so, the possibilities of running lean are much more prevalant. bigger injectors, and some sort of fuel control, plus timing control. soon you will have a $4000 car that has cost you $15,000, and STILL gets beat by hondas.
