    Kalamidad's Outlander Intake Mani quest.

    hey peeps. this sucks.

My intake mani separated from my throttle body. If anyone is keeping count this is break number 4 for me. So if anyone has an i4 intake mani or the outlander counterpart with all the belts and wissles let me know ASAP. i ready don't wanna shell out another 4 and change for a new one (even if they were cross references with the outlander or not)

    on a side note.
i'm also looking for a brain for a Kenwood DVD KVT 617. If anyone has one or knows where to get one let me know. i've had no luck finding one.

where did you get yours from? i'm gonna hold out for an outlander mani even if the car has to sit for two weeks. The galant went up to $550 and the tech told me that it hasn't been cross referenced because they are different part numbers.

    thanks. I am.

For the fuel rail, the tutorial says we can use the galant fuel rail. I just wanna confirm that. i don't have to order the outlander fuel rail? are the galant and outlander fuel rail and injectors the same specs?

Mitsubishiparts has the throttle body for 694? *help*

    well, msrecycling.com doesn't have one.
I made a request at car-part.com a week ago and no answer yet.

i'm about to head to the junkyards here to see if they may have gotten one in the last few months.

i'm putting a warrant out with the TGC NY Member to see if they can find me one also.

as horrible as that sounds, i think you're right.

GOOD NEWS. i got my hands on a mani along with all the belts and wissles. except the throttle cable. it wasn't on the engine or the car. the price tag came out to 483. I'm ok with paying that much because a brand new galant intake mani would have run me $550 plus tax. i got a quote from mitsubishiparts for 30 something dollars for the throttle cable which isn't that bad. but i have to wait for it to come in the mail. it's already too late in the day to order it and with this holiday i think it may be another week before the swap is complete.

i've already done two intake mani swaps so i hope this one will be smooth.

    opinions?

Pedro, Mitsuparts is only like 20% cheaper than the dealer, on such an inexpensive part, your better to just get it from your local dealer, stuff like that takes 1-2 days to get from your dealer. It will take 2 weeks from Mitsuparts, they are slow.
