Have you tried tapping the starter?

If you don't know what that means, it literally means tapping on the starter with a hammer (or some kind of tool) and having someone crank the car at the same time.

As another question have you tried jumping the car?

tried tapping...and jumping..nothing.....only thing is a buzz or clicking noise near the throttle body...and that stops after a few seconds

If you have tapped it, jumped it and nothing sounds like the vehicle needs a starter. If you can get the starter out any of your local auto parts stores should be able to test it. And while your at it get the battery and alternator tested.

Yeah I agree with Red Galant. It sounds like a starter. If you knocked on it, that is more than likely what it is.

    Could be the fuel pump.

Have you tested to see if you can hear the pump turning on?

Did you or someone try to start it with a improperly programmed key?

If so you'll need to take it to the dealer so they can properly code a key for the car.

If its not getting fuel then either the fuel pump, or sending unit is bad. Which means your going to need a new fuel pump/sending unit assembly. Which actually is an easy job on our cars.

Man. I wish I knew what that code was. Just from the way you was explaining it, it sounded like 2 separate issues, and I just wasn't sure if they were related. What dealer did you take it too?
