2g Eclipse - 7G Galant Shocks

Hey guys.

Im looking at getting new shocks for my 7G galant (ttV6 and AWD), just wondering if any you guys have used 2G eclipse (AWD) shocks? or know the differences in the parts, Im thinking the only difference will be the shock/rebound rates, or does anyone know if the shock/shaft length's are different?

Well as you know many 7g's here in the u.s are NOT awd :( but many have used shocks from the regular 2g eclipse including myself...

I have the KYB GR2 shocks for the 2g FWD Eclipse... But Iam sure the 2g AWD shocks would be better suited to your awd galant...

On a side note.. I visted your website but did not see the install of the awd conversion on the galant, only the lancer... Are you going to upload some more pics later?

I have not yet done the 4wd conversion on the Red galant on my site, I have another blue one that I have done the conversion on (after the previous one was stollen by some low life scum bucket), Ill have to put some pics of it up some time, i did the whole conversion in 11 days!!

So its safe to assume the 2g Eclipse awd and 2wd and 7g Galant run the same casings on the shocks? but different dampening rates?

Nope, you have to use the 8g galant shocks they fit on your car.
i have an 7g galant awd and 7g\8g are identical suspensin\arms.

2G struts are way cheaper than the 7G galant in KYB's or Other.
Being that there are more parts for the eclipse's I'd look there first

I thought 2g AWD USA struts are firmer than 2g FWD us due to the additional weight.
