I dont think the temp rating on that stuff is quite high enough to handle exhaust temps.... If i were you.. id spend the money and go get a gasket.. It should be like a double layered metal gasket and should cost no more than 10-15 bucks...

Milo..did you installed the premade metal gasket that should of came with the headers or were they used and didn't come with them? Like what Shadow stated..that gasket maker stuff isn't designed to insulate the heat that the headers get, exhaust gases, and cylinder head tempurature.

Go to Mitsubishi and buy the exhaust manifold gasket..they are relatively cheap and its whats suppose to be there.

If you remove the headers.. the gasket is no longer any good.. So your best bet is to go buy a new one.

rpw, ripp, and cmf are 4 to 1 headers for the 4G64.
pacesetter for the 89-94 4G63 NT is a 4-2-1 header, it's like 6mm shorter because the 4g64 is 6mm taller than the 4g63 so the B-pipe has to be extended or custom.
    pacesetter

you can custom the b-pipe like this header with a taper collector:
