Get a different turbo with the kit and I would take it. I wish I would have gotten water cooled DSM or better when I started and would stay away from tubular manifolds. The downpipe is a plus and injectors (what manufacturer interests me), but you still need Fuel pump, FPR, gauges (wideband, EGT, Boost) engine management and could use an exhaust upgrade if not done yet. You may need an O2 sensor bung welded in. You will need to study your balls off to understand what is going on under your hood, so grab your thinking cap.

Did you see the brown mark on the valve cover? Leaky gasket, probably might not want to use the one in the kit. :?

When he says “hardware”, he means “heat treated” bolts or mounting hardware and possibly gaskets.

You are easily looking at $3000 easy by the time you are done and tuned in with whatever engine management you are looking for. Piggyback units, EVO ECU swaps, or an aftermarket engine management unit. I also guarantee that you will want the CF EVO style hood to keep things cooler in the engine bay.

I would also suggest an ECU flash if you are not replacing the ECU, this is to prevent you from using your “tuning” equipment to fight the factory ECU settings.

http://www.slowboyracing.com/index.html is a decent company (now) and has some turbo packages.
http://www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/home.php is an outstanding company that Laxinwarrior uses and has gotten me hooked on.

DO NOT PM THEM WITH QUESTIONS, type in their names and read every single post that they replied to or posted and you should be pretty fluent in DSM turbo-charging in like 2-4 weeks. Do not make all the mistakes I’ve made! These guys are very talented in boosting a Galant, and were/will be very helpful for the future for me. :smt023
