Four wires on stock fog light swtch

Hey all.... I was wondering if I could tap into the factory fog light switch for additonal items. I would think its a 12v lead, is it? I looked at it and there are Four wires on stock fog light swtch. Are two of them for the volts and are two for auto shut off? Thats what I'm looking for, to be able to turn on other things with the fog lights, and never have to worry about something being left on and killing the batt. Anyone do this, you can direct me to an earlier post from someone else if you like. Thanks.

The fog light switch isn't really a switch. It's a momentary pulse generator to the foglight relay. It sends a signal to turn the foglights on and off. I don't think you can connect any other stuff to it and have it turn them on and off.

Sure, just tap a switch into any of your switched leads at the fusebox (radio, lighter, etc). Thats how I wired my interior neons so if I forgot to turn them off they went off with the ignition.

I'll have to go with the lighter fuse or something, I was trying to get away from adding any switches. Looks I'll have to. Thanks for your help.
