Type-R or Type-S

I'm looking to get new front speakers since the right one is busted. I'm pretty sure I want to get Alpines, but I'm not sure on which ones to get. I know the Type-R is the more recent, but from what I hear, Type-S is better. Any ideas?

the type Rs sound very good...I have been around to many demos and they are pretty clear when it comes to the components. In the highs and lows.

The type S s aren't too bad either. They have been bumped up a noch in the quality.

Check out the Rockford Fosgate Power series, Mb Quart Components, JL Audio components as well. they are good to.

type r are okay, but why not focal? or Jl vr series? if you want some nice shit go to ebay and buy boston pro 50's or 60's

I have the Type S in the front, and type R's in the rear deck. Honestly, Im happier with the quality of the Type R's. They both sound pretty good, but like R's have a more "whole" sound; Bass & Highs.
