does it idle properly yet? I cant tell from that video. Sounds mean as hell though. Im surprised it doesnt idle surge when you first start it.

We got it to idle pretty good around 1100RPMs which is a little high, but im not worried about it yet, once I get a few hundred miles on it, we will mess with the idle a bit more. I should be taking it out later this week for some road tuning and then to the dyno a week or two after.

cool. 272/272's are going to lope like a mother! my buddy's 264/264 on his 240 barely idles after it surges for straight ten minutes. Pretty impressed that your Galant isnt surging with bigger cams.

It only has crazy surge when the base idle is low around 800 or so, with the idle at 1100 the surge is about 75% gone.

So is this like your 3rd time around with a 8g with a 4G63 in it? 8) Very nice man..the car sounds nice, I love the lobed sound of a cammed 4G63.

Cams are my next mod on the GVR4...but only 264's, anything bigger on a EVO3 B16g is way overkill.

A vid with some WOT pulls is a must

    UPDATE VIDEO 10/13/07

    UPDATE!!!!

Ok, so I finally got the signals to work, and now the SRS Light is on, ohh well, thats not gonna stop me from driving it.

So I took it out for a quick drive and im pretty happy with it. First gear feels really good, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are very rough because of the tune. We did the base tune in 80 degree weather and today it was 54 degree's, so its running very lean. I only drove it for about 10 minutes, because it was leaning out and my speed was limited to about 30mph because of this. The bad news is my tuner is super busy for the next few weeks and I wont be able to get it re-tuned until november, so the car wont be at the Floyd bennet meet, but I will still roll in my other car. The motor is very responsive, it revs very very fast, im estimating full boost of 25psi to be about 3500RPMs and thats with an SC61 non-ball bearing turbo.

Here is a small vid I took in the driveway.
