Find a used XSi if you're interested in taking pictures a little bit faster, if not, get the XS. (says my photo buddy that works in a photo shop)

He says the screen on the XS is too small (2.5"), the processor is slower than the XSi, 2 less megapixels, etc.

Are you going to be doing a lot of shooting that a DSLR is more beneficial than a slightly lesser but more easily usable camera?

to be honest I have the D5000 its awesome but I don't use the live view as much as i figured I would so I wouldn't let that sway you that much. I do use it when taking low photos but without a rotating screen I wouldn't use it.

@Red: im gonna be using it more on our trips since we travel a lot especially my families are all over the place. And since i am more into cars than i was before i wanna try using it on meetings/cars shows.

@98m: i figured i wouldn't be using the live view as much like taking pictures over the crowd etc. I just wanna try a glimpse of the DSLR world.

Nah, 50d still. I ALMOST bought the 7d last weekend at BB, but they only had the kit, no body only.

What are you shooting on nowadays?

Seeing y'alls pictures makes me want to upgrade to a Canon EOS Rebel T2i or Nikon D90 already...should I?

What lenses are you canon guys walking around with? I feel like upgrading a few budget for lenses is about 550 bucks. Been looking at possibly a 100 f2.8 macro and calling it a day, but would like some feed back, most shots will be fun and portrait.
