    speaker sizes for 8g

    yeah, yeah - search search. no. the search function sucks. anyway, does anyone have handy a list of the 8g speaker sizes (front doors, tweets, center, and rears)? I may buy online and dont want to rip shtuff apart before im ready to install. Thanks in advance! Also, while were at it, is the factory amp making any diff on aftermarket speakers and does it have a crossover for the tweets?

    I just repowered mine with these sizes
    Tweeters = 1.25"
    Front doors 4.5"
    Rear 6*9"

    My 8g did not have a center speaker, unless you are talking about the one in the rear were I thought would be a nice spot for a 10" sub :P

    There is a bit of room to go a little bigger if need be :)

    I'm in the process of making a boom box for the boot/trunk.
    It will be running 2 * Jvc KS-AX3500 - Bridgeable 4-Channel Amplifier

    Running 2 * 12" jvc subs, 1 * 10" sub and 2 * 6*9" sony xplod

    u.s. sizes are different.....

    look in the audio security forum

    front doors are 6.75 but 6.5 can be used possiblly with a bracket

    rear 6x9 make sure they have a slim magnet or it will hit the torsion bars or you will have to buy/ make spacer plates

    tweeters...cannot be a direct replacement really onto the bracket but 1" seems to fit fine in the stock pod (use tape etc tohold it in there if you cant get it to stay on the bracket

    the center speaker can be replaced by i believe a 3.5 in speaker although im not possitive and this is the one i need to replace myself
