    Foglight Install?

I will be getting a set of OEM Fogs real soon...$20 for the pair + shipping!

I was wondering, how much of a pain will these be to put in? I should only have to bolt them in and wire my afermarket wiring to the OEMs right? They use the same bulbs I believe. Anyone have any insight?

Personally I'm using aftermarket fogs and my car didn't have fogs stock. It's pretty straight forward for stock imo. If you lay down and look up into the slots designated fo r the oem fogs you'll see 2 predrilled holes already there. I forgot what size screw or bolt fits there. Haven't fooled with mine for a while. Wiring is pretty much up to you.

You can attempt to replicate the stock wiring or tap power directly from the battery or whatever. Have it triggered by the headlights or a switch. Not too difficult to get OEM on imo.

if you have the pigtails coming out form the back of the factory fogs you should be fine. if you want to make things easy you could just use the wiring you have already ran for the aftermarket fogs. they're both a 12v setup so you should be fine.

They are a cinch to install, as long as you have the mounting brackets its a 1,2, thing.

You will need to look in the engine bay for the wire harness to plug them up and then you also need a fog relay for the fuse box in the hood and your done. took me 15 minutes.

Well I have aftermarkets now....wired to a switch. I am just gonna mount the OEMs to the same wiring and switch. I think it will just be a matter of me mounting them... everything else is done really

if my car didnt come with fogs are the wires for the factory fogs available in the housing somewhere tucked away in bumper ? or do i need to run my own wires

  19. #19
The short answer is yes there should be a factory harness tucked away somewhere. I won't be of much help because I never installed them but if you search around I know it has been posted before.

The black things to the left of your steering wheel. Pop that entire thing out and in the back you should see the wires for power mirrors and fog harness already there. Not sure what exactly you have to run since the wires don't actually extend into the engine bay from what I noticed. Or maybe they do...didn't try too hard since I'm running my own wires.
