Jingling sound

When I turn on the engine I hear this jingling sound what would the problem be?

POSSIBLY the exhaust heat shieldS cause those fuckers like to rattle!

Or it could be lifter tick but thats more of a tapping or clicking sound.

Sounds like the exhaust shiled. If it is, just use a medium sized radiator hose clamp to secure it. jjj

Probably the exhaust shield...Mine did it when it was still stock...annoying as hell .

check your crank pulley(harmonic balancer).

What the heck does it protect anyway? I've always wondered that. "Well gee, we don't want the ground below us to get too warm, let's throw a heatshield on the cat"

I was thinking of the shiled on the manifolds :P Language mistake :P Probs a lot of spelling from my side. Dam english teacher

Ya, my manifold cover is even ugly, let alone the rusty piece underneath it, so I sanded it up and painted it gloss black, looks a lot better now. It's been over 3 years since I did that and the paint has only peeled in one little spot.

There's only 3 bolts I think that hold the cover in place, take it off, wash it down with some Simple Green. Let dry (sand it with high grit sandpaper if you wish, it's not too neccassary). Paint with high heat paint found in any auto parts store, most don't even need primer. Three coats will do ya fine, let dry to the touch. Install cover back on and drive car around so it "bakes" the paint on.
