    need help please

    i hav a 94 galant ...i was drivng to mass from NY and on da way my engine made a big clank now when i start it, it sounds like da pistons r goin to fly right through the hood...i dont drive it no more :(....but i figure it would ba good time for a motor swap i hav a sohc 4g64 right now i was thinkin of gettin a MIITECH engine but i dont no where to start lookin and dont no which engine wouuld fit in my car ....please some 1 help me ...point me in da right direction ...it hurts 2 see my baby stashed in a lot :(

    Junkyard ... you can pull a 64 out of a galant like you have now for under 200 bucks. At the yard by me I could take the full engine with accessories for 85.

    are you serious? DAMN! i looked at 6g74's and the cheapest was 600 and it had 120k miles.

    SOHC 4G64's are cheap as dirt...that's why every 7G should be going turbo...blow the thing and pick up another one :mrgreen:

    mannn im on ebay and i find da 4g64 but its like 800 ....i need 2 find it 4 less dose anyone hav a number or a place where i can get it in ny , ct, or ma

    i found a 6g72 they are really cheap ..will dis engine b good n fit in my car...sry if i sound annoying i jus want my baby back

    The 6G72 is a V6 for the 8G.

    4g63t from an Eclipse, but you're not after that. Stick with the 64 from another 7g.

    hey guys i got da motor i got da 64 i scored it 4 500 ....soo hopefully my 7g will b up n runnin by dis weekend n i can put p pics.....thanks for ur help guys

    Oh man.. Be lucky you own a galant.... Its easy as fuck to snatch the motor out and put it back in... Probably can be done in about 6-8 hours......

    ya for me its about 2hrs and with the autos you dont need to remove the axles or tranny.
