    accelerating inconsistency

I've noticed that when I accelerate, think as it gets towards the 3rd gear, I will get this hesitation or higher rev where it seems it take long to get into the next gear. It's very strange and does not happen all the time. When it does happen you can hear the rev of the engine jump up quicker than normal and stay higher for a second longer than normal and then it shifts into the next gear. Anyone have any guesses on what this might be?

Well...from personal experience I'd have to say it's normal. I don't think our cars are known for its smoothness in shifting or any consistancies...
