Tein, Progess, Megan, Eibach (as you know), all make springs.
Tein and Megan also make full coilover kits.
KYB, Tokico, Monroe all make struts for our cars.
Personally though I'd only recommend the KYBs or Tokicos on lowered vehicles.
anyone know where or what other company makes springs with the same drop as an eibach pro kit which is 1.2 drop in front and 1.0 drop in the rear? also..what is another good shock/strut besides kyb. i'm on my second set in the rear and ordered from nopi and these seals are leaking too. i'm about to go bonkers! i had the mitsubishi dealer install them.

if you want to save money on a official eibach pro kit sport springs, then you might want to check this one out on ebay!! 2 days left!!

Thanks for the link. I think it was great deal for me :) $100 including shipping and tax. Now I need to get struts/shocks and I'll be ready to do my suspension. BTW what should I get to have nice setup with those eibachs ?
save yourself the headache and just get Tein coilovers/with shocks. u'll spend a little more, but they are imo the most quality u can get for G8 suspension.
u dont need shocks with the tein coilovers
then again galants dont use shocks, they use struts
most galants have 2 shocks and 2 struts, i dont know what happened to your car.Originally Posted by QnzMostWanted
um, define shock and define strut
Strut - Combination of Spring and shock absorber
shocks - independent shock absorber separate from spring
galants use struts
i think your right, sorry bro.

haha yea yea ima noob.
do 7g's have struts in front and shocks in back?
where the hell did i get this idea from..
Headache cause what ? Aren't those eibachs good enough for 8g ? I don't want to lower my car too much, 1.2/1 with eibach is perfect for me and my stock struts are worn out so they need to be replaced. Now the question is what should I get, stock or maybe some KYB, Monroe ?Originally Posted by SMD
7gs are the same tooOriginally Posted by dknight3
Wrong definition there. Struts- integral to structural support of the axle suspension. Shocks- non-integral to structural support. 8Gs have struts front, shocks rear. The hub assebly for the rear is fully supported by the control arms, if you remove the rear shock/spring assembly. Take out the front stuts (which the hub assemblies are bolted to) and the suspension is structurally void.Originally Posted by QnzMostWanted

yea, look for the 3g eclipse

I hate to say it but technically all of you are wrong on this shocks/struts thing.
The actaul shock absorber is the spring not the "shock". What is being referred to as a shock is actaully a motion damper, or damper for short.
The damper slows and controls compression and rebound motions caused by hitting bumps. They do not support the weight of the car they simply control it.
A strut is typically a spring/damper assembly that acts as an upper control arm in most cases.
Struts have dampers in them, therefore it would be correct in saying I'm replacing the damper, if you are only replacing part of the strut, or everything but the spring, it can also be referred to as a damper assembly.
A standared damper is usually called a shock, which the most basic of these can be found on the rear of solid axle trucks.
