Dang! What a difference tuning can make!
Sweet!
Well I finally got tunned by Sean Ivey, from Ivey Tunning. I came in with 138whp running at 12psi and less then 10afr and left with 201.65whp / 244.70lb wht running at about 10.8:1 AFR. Sean is an awsom tunner and this little 2 hour mod cost me $450.

sweet! did sean go "man, people actually turbo these things?"
nice bro.. I expected a lil more for 12psi.. congrats. tell us a lil about ur setup.
Wars come and go but my soldiers stay eternal...
i'll agree 450 is alot of money but it totally makes the turbo worth it. without a decent tune, turboing your car is almost pointless.Originally Posted by duh2150

Nice Roman im glad he got it running good. When I spoke with him a few weeks ago I made mention to him that you would be contacting him..
and whoever said $450 is alot for tuning, its not. That 2 hours includes tuning, dyno time, wideband AFR monitoring, etc. Think about it like this too, when you go to the dealer for service, average labor rate is between $90 and $110 per hour depending on where you live. Dont you think 100 per hour is fair since pretty much the life of your motor and turbo is in this persons hands.

Yah, the price isnt bad for a complete tune and dyno runs. Any reason why you tuned so rich? I would have aimed for more around 11.4. Mine right now runs between 11.2 and 11.4.
Again, what all did you tune with? Any way to get him to tune it again for a "race" tune, something more lean, maybe closer to the 12s, would be cool.
7g for life!
sean ivey is also known around these parts as the best evo tuner in the NY area. so he can afford to charge the price he does and people would still come.
