    v6 5spd swap

    well the day has come my tranny has just shit the bed so i was wondering if some one can give me the parts list for the swap please i have search but seem like each one is different so i just want the basic list cuz i dont have much downtime room

    Flywheel
    Clutch kit
    Shifter base with cables
    Brake pedal
    Clutch pedal
    Clutch master cylinder
    Clutch slave cylinder
    Starter locator plate
    Passenger side intermediate axle shaft

    I think that's if if I remember correctly.

    Do NOT mix and match parts from different makes..

    they can be mixed. I've had both a Stratus and Eclipse transmission in my car at one point in time.

    the things that have to match are the clutch kit and flywheel. For example, Eclipse flywheel needs Eclipse clutch kit. Stratus flywheel needs Stratus clutch kit. Which transmission you use doesn't matter.

    don't forget:
    Manual Transmission mount
    clutch lines (whether aftermarket or stock.. you need something)
    SP-4 compliant gear oil

    but thanks Adrian for filling in the rest. I have the worst brain farts sometimes.

    Redline MT-90 is amazingly smooth :)

    shhh I ran right before and was nearly brain dead bahaha. GL-4, yes haha

    I wanna try out Redline MT-90 someday.. or maybe the Scott Grey mix. RRE is only like an hour from where I live.

    so i have removed my tranny but cant figure out how to remove the tq converter and im trying to see what i need of the auto trans for the 5spd swap

    I think there is 4 bolts behind the torque converter. You need to get behind it with a wrench and unbolt all 4? bolts.

    there is an inspection cover on your oil pan. 2 small bolts hold that little cover in place. Once removed, you will gain access to the torque converter bolts one at a time. You will need to turn the crank by hand and watch as the bolts will be seen through that hole.

    M-Rod is correct. The inspection-cover bolts have 10mm heads. I believe the torque converter bolts are 14mm heads, but I can't remember. Be careful when removing those, because they have a very shallow head and could probably strip easily.

    You need to rotate the crank to get each of the 4 bolts. For each bolt, hold the crank in place while loosening the bolt.

    Nope, everything will need to be completely removed, auto flywheel and all. What parts do you have so far?
